Essentially ends club season on a high with rugby double-header
Following 10 months of meticulous planning, Essentially successfully staged the inaugural Magners League Grand Final at the RDS Dublin last weekend. Essentially has worked with Celtic Rugby since 2005 when it signed the Celtic League’s first ever title sponsor Magners. As well as securing commercial partners for the league, the team provides strategic consultancy on the development of the tournament and manages the ongoing relationship with existing and new sponsors of the league.
Over the past year, Essentially has worked closely with Celtic Rugby, the clubs and sponsors to ensure all commercial rights are delivered throughout the season and deliver the Play Offs and a world-class Grand Final.
From rights delivery to VIP hospitality and production, Essentially succeeded in delivering an outstanding sporting event with the trophy presentation viewed by over a quarter of a million people.
Preparations are underway for the Magners League Awards in August and the 2010/11 season starting in September. The 10th season of the tournament will see the Magners League expanded to four nations as Italy joins Ireland, Scotland and Wales in a high-profile 12-team cross-border competition.

Essentially's extensive role at the Magners League Grand Final in Dublin was not the only rugby activation last weekend. Members of the team were also at Twickenham for the Guinness Premiership Final.
Gatorade, Official Performance Partner to the Guinness Premiership, had an activation stand educating spectators on the importance of hydration in sport as well as promoting Gatorade Gives Back, the brand's on-pack promotion for 2010.
The stand, situated in the West Car Park, was visited by thousands of fans throughout the day, who received bottles of Gatorade, clap sticks and competed against each other on bikes.
On the field of play, Essentially managed Gatorade's sidelines activation in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 82,000 people, as well as those at home watching on Sky Sports. The brand's presence was powerful throughout the game, before a 'Gatorade Dunk' was televised at the end of the game, on Man of the Match, Jordan Crane.
The Guinness Premiership Final was a celebration of a fantastic second season for Gatorade, and preparation is under way for the 2010/11 Season starting in September. For more information and insights into professional rugby, visit www.gatorade.co.uk
