Monday 12th September saw 350 guests attend the annual LG ICC Awards being held at the Grosvenor House in London.
Managed by Essentially, the event saw cricket greats from around the world take to the red carpet including top bowlers Graeme Swann and James Anderson from the world number one cricket team, England.
Ravi Shastri and Gabby Logan took control and presented the 11 awards which also saw a magnificent performance from classical singers All Angels. The stars of the cricketing world, which included the likes of Curtley Ambrose and ICC President Haroon Logart, gathered in the Great Room at Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane with baited breath to hear who would win the accolade of ICC Player of the Year.
With two England players being nominated the home crowd were hoping for a winner, when Alistair Cook was awarded Test Cricketer of the year all hopes were pinned on Jonathan Trott to win.
Following a successful year in both test and the one day format of the game Trott came home with the spoils and went one further by inventing a new word ‘determinator’ in his on stage interview with Gabby Logan.
Essentially held full event management of the event working alongside a TV company that produced all VT’s and the edited programme that was shown on SkySports 1 the following evening. Over 60 press were present with Essentially working alongside the ICC press department to manage the red carpet press pen, interview room and winners press conference.
