NatWest PCA Awards 2011 – Roundhouse – Thursday 22nd September

The annual NatWest PCA Awards 2011 was held for the first time at The Roundhouse in Camden on 22nd September where over 1,000 people attended, making it the largest sit down event ever held at the venue.

Nasser Hussain once again hosted the evening and along with past and present stars from the world of cricket presented the 11 awards.

As well as full event management on the night, the Essentially events team worked alongside the PCA in the run up to the event. A team of over 300 worked on the night to make it the most show stopping awards in 10 years, ending in an outstanding performance from Razorlight and DJ set by Greg James that carried revellers into the early hours.

The big prize of the night went to Marcus Trescothick, who claimed the Reg Hayter Cup for the NatWest PCA Player of the Year.

Other award winners included Alex Hales who was named the NatWest PCA Young Player of the Year for 2011. Stuart Broad was the ODI Player of the Year while Alastair Cook was awarded England's FTI Most Valuable Player of the Summer. Chris Nash was awarded the CB40 Player of the Year after a superb summer with Sussex.

Over the years, the staging of the NatWest PCA Awards has raised significant funds for the PCA Benevolent Fund. The fund is part of the PCA's commitment to helping current and former players and their dependants in times of hardship, upheaval or to read just to the world beyond the game.
