Jo has worked at Essentially for 7 years, with responsibility for the sponsorship activation across a portfolio of clients and manages a team to assist on the delivery of all rights.
Jo has experience of event-led work, beginning her career in the Events division, working with a number of corporate clients and governing bodies. Jo then moved into the Consultancy division, where she has managed all aspects of sponsorship consulting. Her projects have included Lloyds TSB’s rugby and golf ambassador programme, as well as the brand’s activation and hospitality for Rugby World Cup 2003; Gatorade’s partnership as Official Hydration Partner of the Guinness Premiership; Raymond Weil’s association with The BRIT Awards and Volkswagen’s sponsorship of English cricket.
Most recently, Jo has led the team responsible for the delivery of SAB Miller’s sponsorship of The Open Championship with its Pilsner Urquell brand. This included overseeing all on-site branding, logistics and technical requirements and the delivery of all beer, bespoke glassware and POS to public and hospitality areas, serving 123,000 guests over 4 days of the tournament.
