Rick Olarenshaw is a versatile and well rounded sports industry professional with over twenty years of experience and a proven track record.
Rick commenced his career as an Australian Football League (AFL) player and enjoyed many successes over his playing career. Rick has spent the last ten years as a leader in the Australian sports management industry.
A highly strategic leader known for his strong work ethic, discipline and entrepreneurship, Rick travelled to London after retiring from the AFL in 2001 to learn the processes and philosophy of athletes1. Upon his return, he launched the Australia arm of athletes1 and built the business to its position today as one of the leading sports management businesses in Australia.
In 2008, athletes1 was acquired by The Essentially Group, with Rick being appointed CEO of Australia and promoted to the global management.
